BlueLine Development and The Piñon Project partnered to create Tawi Kaan Apartments, a Permanent Supportive Housing development in Cortez, Colorado.
Tawi Kaan is a three-story apartment building with 42 one, two, and three-bedroom homes for individuals and families with income below 30% of the Area Median Income and either exiting homelessness or facing housing instability. The building and community will offer physical space as well as other design elements and services that encourage healing and are relevant to the individuals and families who will live and thrive in this community. The building has been designed by Shopworks Architects, utilizing culturally responsive and Trauma-Informed Design principles.
