FARGO, ND – September 9, 2026 – Fargo Housing & Redevelopment Authority and BlueLine Development are proud to announce the successful financial closing and groundbreaking of Lynn’s Landing, a new affordable housing community that will bring much-needed housing opportunities to individuals and families in Fargo, North Dakota. According to the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, 41% of renters in Fargo spend 30% of their income on housing costs.
The closing marks a significant step forward in addressing the growing need for safe, quality, and affordable housing throughout the region. Fargo is on pace to reach a population of 357,000 by 2050 in the Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area according to InForum. Once completed, Lynn’s Landing will provide 65 one-, two- and three- bedroom affordable housing units designed to serve families making 30-50% of area median income.
Lynn’s Landing will be situated on the site of former public housing units that were vacated in 2024 and demolished in 2025.
The name Lynn’s Landing also has special ties to the Fargo community. This project will be dedicated to the late Lynn Fundingsland, former long-term Fargo Housing & Redevelopment Authority Director who retired in 2017 and served the community for decades.
Located at 2458 18th St. South, Fargo ND, the development will feature a community room, ample parking, and each unit will have Energy Star appliances including an in-unit dishwasher, washer and dryer.
The development is made possible through collaboration among numerous public and private partners, including LIHTC equity investment from The Richman Group, a construction and permanent loan by Hilltop Bank, and North Dakota Housing Incentive Funds administered by North Dakota Housing Finance Agency (NDHFA).
Fargo-based general contractor Roers Construction began construction on Monday, August 31st, with completion anticipated in early September 2027. Fargo Housing & Redevelopment Authority will open the waitlist in the summer of 2027 on Fargohousing.org.
