Opening Doors to Independence: The Grove at Cottonwood Celebrates Grand Opening

September 8th, 2026

BROOMFIELD, CO. – September 2, 2026 – Community leaders, housing advocates, residents, families, and service providers gathered today to celebrate the grand opening of The Grove at Cottonwood, an innovative affordable housing development in Broomfield, Colorado. The community provides 40 affordable rental homes catering to households earning 30%-60% of area median income in an inclusive environment built around dignity, independence, accessibility, and belonging.

Developed by the Broomfield Housing Alliance in partnership with BlueLine Development, The Grove at Cottonwood addresses a critical need for safe, affordable housing options across Colorado. The community emphasizes inclusive, trauma-informed design and represents a significant step forward in expanding service-enriched housing in the community. The Grove is now leasing and accepting applications at Bluelinedevelopment.com.

Gina Coufal, Founder and CEO of FRIENDS of Broomfield, when asked of examples of how partners worked together to support future residents, responded, “I am grateful for the Broomfield Housing Alliance Board and staff for listening to FRIENDS of Broomfield and members of this community about their needs and thoughtfully considered how to meet them. From Caddis to BlueLine to Deneuve, they showed a real passion for building something that would not only provide affordable, safe housing, but ensured the residents at the Grove would be supported and welcomed as members of the community. We are so grateful they committed to do the work and make it a reality.”

The grand opening celebration highlighted the collaborative efforts among community organizations, advocates, local leaders, and supporters who helped bring the vision for The Grove at Cottonwood to life. Some residents began moving into their new homes on August 13th, marking the beginning of the community’s next chapter.

BlueLine Development would like to extend its gratitude to all those who made this possible.
